Opening and Closing signs plus 6 Question and 6 Answer signs to be spaced out along a walk- or race-route. This activity for race participants can be paired with educational banners, posters, handouts, or giveaway items at the start/finish that promote a coming blood drive. Or incorporate an on-site drive for family and spectators as part of the event. (Runners should not donate on race day.)
Six simple questions (same as those in Blood Donation Trivia) to raise or test understanding of the basics of the blood supply, common blood type of African Americans, and transfusion needs of some sickle cell patients. The same questions as in Road Race Trivia, these can be used to guide a conversation with students or other groups.
